Hearth Hill
i’m back at Hearth Hill, where the flowers of early spring are beginning to show themselves, more and more every day. i plan to remain here for a while, getting some work done on and around the log house, as well as attending to my business. (via Mykl’s where?)

RIVER VISIT CONTINUES: i’m spending a couple more days in the cottage here on the banks of the lower Potomac, catching up on a little work in the peace and solitude of early spring in St. Mary’s County, without the distraction of an internet connection. (this blog was posted while enjoying coffee & croissant in a nearby cafe.) (via Mykl’s where?)

In fact, according to this engaging presentation by Dr. Luis von Ahn, in one year over 9 billion human hours were spent (some might say wasted) playing solitaire. The...

Apple TV Has Landed →
A balanced article by the wonderful David Pogue at the New York Times, comparing the new Apple TV with two roughly similar products. If you already own an HDTV and use iTunes (on your Windows or Mac computer), you should at least take a look at what the future of television and home video is starting to look like. If you don’t yet own an HDTV (like moi), this is yet another reason (for...
